but looking at Banks’ numbers, he was actually pretty consistent for most of his 30s. All less than his late 20s, but it wasn’t like he fell off to nothingness. He hit 214 home runs after he was 31.
And remember, the 60s were very much a pitchers’ era, too.

Though the comp makes sense, Brock didn’t break out until midway through his age 25 season (after he got traded to the Cardinals.)

But so much can change that early.

Dexter's plate discipline really is advanced for his age,
despite what Andrew Martin thinks on this, he’s on a very nice pace relative to most of his fleet footed non-power oriented peers. I just wish he could have a bit more of Brock’s basepath know-how.
