Checking in with Aaron Cook during rehab in Tulsa

Stay connected for news and updates

I had the opportunity to sit down with Aaron Cook following his second rehab start with the Double-A Tulsa Drillers. After struggling in his first start by giving up four runs in four innings against Arkansas, Cook rebounded by allowing just three hits and one run in five innings against Northwest Arkansas on Wednesday afternoon.

Cook seems ready to put the injuries of the spring behind him. In his two starts for the Drillers, Cook is 0-1 with a 5.00 ERA. His third and final start for the Drillers is scheduled for Monday afternoon against Springfield, then it's anticipated that he will make one rehabilitation start at Triple-A Colorado Springs before heading back to Coors Field.

"The rehab is going well," Cook said. "I'm feeling healthy and working now on my speed and location. I feel like I'm picking up where I left off."
