Purple Row Cares has money, where should we donate to now?

The great people of Purple Row have done it again! Even in an economy downtrodden with Goldman Sachs employees out on the streets and baseball owner Frank McCourt unable to make payroll, we’ve found a way to raise money for charity. To date Purple Row Cares has raised enough money to donate to the Mike Coolbaugh FoundationBoys and Girls Clubs of Metro Denver and the Colorado Rockies Foundation. With our latest eBay sale of autographed Rockies merchandise, we have raised $215 available for donation. So our next step is to decide which charity most deserves the money. Post your ideas in the comments section below and I will put up a poll with the best submissions.

Star-divide

So one of the things we discovered in this eBay sale process is that people can donate smaller amounts straight to the Purple Row Cares PayPal account. Thanks to Rhodeislandroxfan for his donation! If anyone else would like to donate you can go to PayPal and type in Purplerow.cares@gmail.com for the Pay To information. Everything donated to Purple Row Cares is submitted to a charity of Purple Row’s choice!

The other topic we need to discuss involves the new logo. Are there 20 people interested in a new logo shirt? Andrew and I were approached by a Denver area printer whose designer setup the new logo. The printer has offered to print the shirts at cost for $4 a shirt. However, he would need to print at least 20 shirts at a time, so we would need commitments up front from that many people wanting shirts. It can also become complicated if they need to be shipped out.

Eat. Drink. Be Merry. But the above FanPost does not necessarily reflect the attitudes, opinions, or views of Purple Row's staff (unless, of course, it's written by the staff [and even then, it still might not]).

Because this last promotion was so successful, I suggest we split the donation.

Send three more things to the Colorado Rockies Foundation for the $75 donation and then donate the remaining $145 to another charity.

I like this idea.

Also, are there still ways to buy the old merchandise that was once available? Like the original tshirt design we voted on?

The items idea is excellent

however I do not know many charities in the Denver area (assuming that’s where we want the money to stay) so I can’t be of much help here.
