And our off-season continues to look worse and worse.
Tulo and Cargo big contracts: welcome under performance
JDLR: heart warming return to the Rockies story, heart breaking loss to a stupid injury
J-Lo/Wiggy picked up: J-Lo and Wiggy suckage.
The only things better than expected so far this season are Helton and CDI’s performances.

I would say "really starting to hit" is a strech. He'll have an outburst, then nothing
The last game I remember him hitting anything remotely clutch was that Pirates series wayyyyyy back in April with that game winning triple.
Judging a guy by "clutch" hits is overrated.
And I’m not one who doesn’t believe in “clutch,” either. He’s hardly the only guy who hasn’t come through with runners on. If he’s getting hits, I’m not going to complain about his presence on the team.
His WAR for the season is 0.3
Not great, but decent enough for a guy coming off the bench for most of the season.
Lopez was at -0.2 in a lot more playing time.

This really is as close to a make-or-break road trip as you can have at this point in a season.
I mean, if they finish it a game or two on either side of .500 it’s no big deal, but if they go five or six games below, then I really think they’re done.

Watching them last week
They play good baseball. Strong pitching. Good run support. Clutch hitting. Good for them. I wish my favorite team played like that.
I wanted to do some looking at the stats on them to see if they're winning is sustainable.
I haven’t had the time yet though.

I remain a Pirates fan.
But I prefer paying closer attention to the team I can follow everyday. The Rockies are fun too; even with the losing this season.

No kidding, we've gone from like 2nd in MLB in least errors to about 12th in a week.
