When do you start booing Ubaldo??!

That is probably the dumbest question I’ve ever heard a radio host ask someone about Ubaldo.

And a proper response too

I was a little thrown by the question

I knew Ubaldo would come up, but I wasn’t expecting that, so my response wasn’t quite strong enough.

I dunno.

I thought the derisive laughter said plenty.

I was thrown by it too

I was actually thinking “wow, these guys are at least making an effort to include baseball in their programming, I should tune in sometime”. Then they uncorked that one.

I probably still will tune in sometime, but really. You don’t boo a guy who’s saved your butt more times than I can count just because he didn’t recover from an injury on his pitching hand in a week. Your response was much more diplomatic than the one I would have given.

Nice interview!

When do I start booing Ubaldo?

When he:

1. Becomes a Gint, Yankee, Red Sawx or Dogger

or

2. Changes his name to Boobaldo

In other words – never.

We're trying to win a (#)(*@$%#)@#&$#)^ argument here!!!!

Whatever the manager does is wrong, unless it works. Then he's a button pusher.

That was added to my "Alfred Williams Hall of Shame"

But IMHO he is so bad that he manages to be entertaining at times. That question was just annoying and dumb.

I want to say how awesome a particular Rockies player is and that he will be the MVP, but the last time I mentioned it in my sig he went out with an injury, so, GO PLAYER WHO IS SO AWESOME!

You did a nice job answering it politely. I am not sure my answer would have ever let a Radio show invite me back again.

Knowing you and what you do for a living I laughed when he asked where you were from, and his surprise that you were from Colorado.

Nice work Andrew.

It can’t be easy talking to a couple of guys who barely know how to read a boxscore…. I was a little surprised you didn’t plug CDI’s OBP, wOBA/wRC+, or that he is 2nd in all of baseball in WAR for catchers, but then again it would be like speaking in Russian so good choice.

they were citing Helton's OBP

I don’t think they’re quite as thick as everyone’s claiming.

I'm just going to toss this out there.....

if they just found out about the site, and might possibly have an Andrew back, maybe we don’t spend the time in the comments section calling them morons.

probably a good idea

Each question was completely fair if one considers the backstory to the booing one. I enjoyed it.

Nice interview Andrew.

You kinda sound like me – at least over a phone/in a recording. And…my name is also Andrew.

you have my condolences

Helton- Hall of Fame

Like you said on the show, if Helton can play good for the next couple of years he has a chance at the Hall of Fame.
