The Rockies took a series from San Diego, won the opener of the next series, and are looking to get a little momentum going this 2nd week of June. A 9-run showing, 6 off of Clayton Kershaw, always helps that.
The Rockies have historically hit Billingsley well, to the tune of a .859 OPS and a 4.95 ERA. This is the kind of game the Rockies need to get up fast and get after, and get into that wounded gazelle of a bullpen the Dodgers are throwing out these days. Bills has been somewhat mediocre over his past 4 starts, with a 4.50 ERA and allowing a .844 OPS - the kinds of numbers the Rockies should be able to put up tonight.
