Since the start of 2008
He has a 3.96 ERA. Good, but certainly nothing special. He also has a 7.71 ERA in October during that time so he’s certainly not a big game pitcher anymore. He also has an ERA over 4.00 in the month of September during the last three years and has to tendency to break down a little (He doesn’t start unless everything is absolutely perfect for him)
He still comes off with this “I’m such a badass!!!” persona but his numbers don’t support that anymore and have not for a long time. The “Texas tough guy” is overrated – Especially by himself.
