Purple Row Radio: September 29th - Time to Move On from 2011

Purple Row Radio

Welcome back to this special edition of Purple Row Radio, celebrating the merciful end to the Rockies 2011 season.

On this edition, Andrew and I discuss the following topics and more:
- Why this season ranks for us amongst the worst in Rockies history, even if the final record doesn't reflect it.
- How does the late-September collapse of 2011 mirror 2010's, and how do they differ?
- Why does Andrew think Jim Tracy's choices regarding the playing time of certain players is one of the most significant 2011 issues that was actually avoidable?
- Why does Greg want to purge this season from everyone's mind (the fans as well as the team) and ensure everyone moves on as quickly as possible?
- The surprising downfall of Ubaldo Jimenez.
- Why the Rockies should be pleased with the seasons of Troy Tulowitzki, Carlos Gonzalez and Todd Helton.

Subscribe here.

We'll be back sometime after the divisional series for a postseason show.

I'll take an infinite number of laps if this has been beaten like a dead horse...

Are these episodes ever going to show up on iTunes? it looks like the episodes through February of this year are over there, but nothing recent.

Are you subscribed?

The episodes are downloaded automatically when they are posted. They just don’t show up on the list for some reason. iTunes is very difficult to detail when it comes to fixing problems like this. They’re absolutely awful. If it’s not working correctly for you, subscribe to the RSS feed linked into the post.

Just an FYI - you guys do NOT need to apologize for "going over"

I love hearing your takes on the season and where we’re heading in the future!

i was hoping that you guys would have still been recording when the walk-offs started.

it would have been awesome for you to just be talking rockies and then all of a sudden break into a “holy shit the red sox lose!!!!!!!!”
