Word on the MSN Street is that Melvin Mora actually DIDN'T retire, and totally wants to play in 2012. Does this change anything for the Rockies? Probably not, though Mora did like his time in Colorado and will probably give the Rockies a call. EDIT Ok, after talking to Rafael Rojas Cremonesi of Viva Colorado, it sounds like Mora might just be retiring from VENEZUELAN baseball. There was apparently a big presser and everything and he had the emotional tears in his eyes and such. As a baseball fan AND a hockey fan, we hear about players going back to their home country to finish their careers, much akin to Peter Forsberg and Markus Naslund going back to Sweden. Maybe Mora just really really likes it here.
