With the NL leader among rookies in home runs and batting average, it was a little bit surprising that no Rockies appeared in the SB Nation Rookie of the Year voting Monday. Like the ROY vote, the Pitcher of the Year vote features no members of the Rockies organization, but it is no surprise here.
NL Cy Young
This is perhaps the biggest tossup of the six major awards, and it surely manifested in the SBNation Award voting. Ultra-awesome story R.A. Dickey (20-6, 2.73 ERA, 230 K, 4.6 fWAR) squeaked by 2011 winner Clayton Kershaw (14-9, 2.53, 229, 5.5) despite Dickey being conspicuously left off three ballots completely. Gio Gonzalez earned a first place vote on more than one quarter of the ballots to easily come in third.

AL Cy Young
The AL vote was not in doubt and likely will not be when the BBWAA award is revealed later this evening. Justin Verlander carried the Tigers while pitching just as well as his 2011 season when he won the official Cy Young and MVP Award. Verlander was 17-8 with a 2.64 and 239 strikeouts on the season. David Price had the best season of his career, going 20-5 with a 2.56 ERA at 5.1 fWAR.
