So apparently
that winning Powerball ticket worth over $300 million was purchased at the same store where I do most of my grocery shopping. I have never played the lottery and have no urge to but somehow I’m still sort of disappointed by this.
Although baseball is full of teams suffering setbacks, it’s also full teams overcoming them. All I ask is for the Rockies to be defined by the latter category.

I didn't know that ep was an hour long
going into it… so at every commercial break I was like NO IT’S OVER THIS IS THE WORST. And then more happened and I was like NO IT’S OVER THIS IS THE WORST! And then more happened and it was finally over… SO epic. It was difficult for me not to stay up until 3:00 watching more. Sometimes being an adult sucks.

I think it’s one of the bravest things I’ve seen a TV show do. I mean even more than LOST season 3. I’ve read a lot of people quit the show after that, which I could not understand for the life of me.

Kinda hoping that we get to see flashbacks to the first year of Gaius’s reign… I’m also stoked because I enjoy the show more when the characters are spread out in like 8 different places (a la season 1 and part of season 2) – when they’re all on Galactica it makes it kinda boring. I’m excited to see the fleet plots vs occupied New Caprica plots and the inevitable rescue attempt… SO excited for S3.

and the executive producer is same guy that did “Angel”. I’ve watched a couple of episodes of “OUAT” but meh.

Has anyone here had a bagel that’s fried and glazed like a doughnut? I used to get them occasionally before I moved to Colorado, but don’t know of any place here that carries them.

But they are pretty good. I liked them better than a doughnut, simply because eating one would actually fill you up. One of the reasons I shy away from doughnuts is that I feel like I just sucked 300+ calories out of thin air, and I’m just as hungry as I was before I ate it.

I'm going to need to work out a research methodology here
Of course, in order to ensure good data, I am going to need a significant sample of the test subject (bacon-maple doughnuts). And also a significant sample of a control group (non-bacon-maple doughnuts). And in order to remove the possibility of allowing data outside the relative norm of either data set leaking into the study, I will of course need to study examples of each group over a somewhat extended period of time.
I’m thinking a couple bacon-maple doughtnuts and a couple other doughnuts every week for 2-3 weeks should be a good start. I will begin working on funding for the study, with hopes of performing initial test studies by the weekend. I’ll report back in a month or so, if I’m still alive and able to emerge from my sugar coma.
Oh wait, I can report back now. I hate maple doughnuts. Unless they can blend the bacon with another flavor, I’m afraid this is not going to be a success with me….
