In an unpleasant turn of events for the Rockies' pitching staff, RHP Alex White was arrested last night for driving under the influence of alcohol in Scottsdale, as stated in an official Rockies press release.

No immediate repercussions have been announced, although the Rockies have expressed their disappointment with White.

Per the press release, the Rockies have had discussions with White to express the seriousness of the situation, and that White is taking ownership of his misstep.

White, 23, joined the Rockies with rotation candidate LHP Drew Pomeranz, 1B Matt McBride, and prospect RHP Joseph Gardner in exchange for Rockies' ace Ubaldo Jimenez.

In 36 MLB innings with the Rockies in 2011 spanning 7 starts, White posted a 8.42 ERA, going 2-4, and allowing 12 HR.
