#Rockies have claimed RHP Adam Ottavino off waivers from STL. Ottavino is a on Rox 40-man, has been optioned to Triple-A.

Ottavino, 26, has had all of 22 disastrous MLB innings with the St. Louis Cardinals, but also has first-round pedigree, going 30th overall in the 2006 amateur draft.
The righty has a 4.29 career Minor League ERA. Not great strikeout stuff, and a bit wilder than we'd like to see, but he also sports a decent Groundout to Airout ratio, sitting at a 1.42 - you know, about average.
Ottavino will provide the Rockies with emergency Rotation and Bullpen depth.
