Renovated Sam Suplizio field by permission from Neosho pitcher Jackson Rowe (@jacksonrowe)
The tournament for the Junior College (JUCO) World Series is set to begin on Saturday in Grand Junction, Co. All these years Colorado baseball fans have pined for a World Series, and yet they've continually hosted one annually in the Western Slope since 1959. This season marks the grand reopening of Sam Suplizio field. Renovations of the park were completed in earnest for the opening of the Grand Junction Rockies debut and for the JUCO tournament. For more on the renovations and to view pics of the new stadium check out Mesa County's website here.
