2012 Rockies Game Thread #119: Josh Johnson vs. Drew Pomeranz

Stay connected for news and updates

This guy...

The Rockies will try to avoid losing a four-game series at home after winning the opening game, and they will have to cool down Giancarlo Stanton to do it. The Marlins' right fielder has homered in all six career games at Coors Field, which must be some sort of record.

They draw Josh Johnson, who remains a very good pitcher. The right-hander has lost a bit on his fastball, and as a result is striking out fewer batters than he has since he was a rookie, but Johnson is still on pace to be a 5.0 fWAR pitcher.

Drew Pomeranz will try to pitch into the fifth inning for the first time this month.

Go Rockies!
