In all the coverage of Lance Armstrong's doping confession, I've seen no suggestions that the cycling organization was wrong to strip him of his 7 Tour de France titles. It doesn't matter that "everyone did it" -- he cheated & was properly disentitled.
If that's good for cycling, why isn't it good for baseball? Why shouldn't Bonds, McGwire, Clemens et al. be stripped of their MVP's, Cy Youngs and records, just like Lance?
Among other things, that would leave Hank Aaron as the career home run king and Roger Maris* with the single-season record. Both of those would be fine with me.
