Today at 1pm MST, Everton (9-10-3, 5th Place) takes on Southampton (5-7-10, 15th Place) at St. Mary's Stadium in Southampton, England.

Now, I understand that most of you guys don't follow the Premier League, so I'll do my best to explain its significance in more common terms. This match is analogous to the Baltimore Orioles (Everton) playing the Kansas City Royals (Southampton) on August 5th.

My infatuation with Premier League soccer during the baseball offseason mostly comes from the humor I find in the way British people talk and write. Seeing the words "favourite" or "colour" always makes me smile.
