For the second week in a row, Everton ended up in a scoreless tie with their opponent, this time that team being Southampton.
Southampton held control of most of the game, but couldn't capitalize. Sensational goalie work by Tim Howard and poor execution by the Southampton offense led to a 0-0 finish.
Now, for Americans like me, I hope this game wrap/thread was a rich, cultural immersion into the life of an average British man. I hope you begin to realise that football is becoming one of your favourite sports.
As far as the future goes, I know Team USA is playing a World Cup qualifier against Costa Rica in Commerce City this March. It will be exciting to see these top caliber players, like Tim Howard, in our own area.
Have a great day and go Rockies!
