The St. Louis Cardinals and Los Angeles Dodgers square off in Game 3 of the NLCS tonight as the series shifts to Los Angeles. The Dodgers find themselves in a 2-0 series hole and are facing Adam Wainwright who shut down the Pittsburgh Pirates twice in NLDS. If he shuts down Los Angeles tonight, the Dodgers will likely be looking for inspiration from the 2004 ALCS when the Red Sox became the only team in baseball history to over come a 3-0 series deficit.
For the Dodgers, this is as close to a must win game as you can get without it actually being an official elimination game. They will send Hyun-jin Ryu to the mound who was not good in his first postseason start against Atlanta, giving up four runs in just three innings of work. He's only thrown seven innings of major league action in the last 19 days, so it's really tough to know what to expect from him. Then again, it's baseball, you never really know what to expect.
