Right-handed pitcher Chris Volstad will make his Rockies debut today, starting against the Texas Rangers. - Christian Petersen
Trio of Rockies pitchers expected to make spring debuts.
After splitting a pair of games over the weekend against NL West rivals and fellow Salt River Fields inhabitants Arizona, the Colorado Rockies will face their first non-Diamondbacks spring opposition as the Texas Rangers come to Scottsdale.
Right-hander Chris Volstad will get the start on the mound, making his Rockies debut. The Rockies are also expected to give reliever Wilton Lopez his first appearance with the club and Manny Corpas should toe the rubber for the first time since returning to Colorado.
Texas, meanwhile, will give two pitchers competing for the fifth spot in their rotation a chance to show their stuff. Martin Perez, a 22-year-old southpaw, will pitch the first two innings for the Rangers followed by righty Justin Grimm for innings three and four.
Rangers Lineup:
2B Ian Kinsler
SS Elvis Andrus
LF David Murphy

Rockies Lineup:
