Coming off back-to-back losses against the Oakland Athletics, the Colorado Rockies will look to bounce back against another AL West foe, the Seattle Mariners at 1 p.m. Mountain time today in Peoria, Ariz.
The game marks the team's 2013 television debut, as it is the first spring training contest broadcast on ROOT Sports and MLB Network.
After a strong two-inning outing against the Reds on Thursday, Juan Nicasio will get the start for the Rockies on the mound against Seattle. The Mariners will counter with veteran righty Jon Garland, who struggled through an injury plagued 2012 with the Dodgers.
After hitting home runs in each of his last two games, Nolan Arenado is once again in the Rockies lineup batting fifth and playing third base. The Mariners will feature new additions Raul Ibanez and Robert Andino in their lineup today.
