In their first series against San Diego, the Rockies outscored the Padres 20-6 in their home opening sweep. Since that series, the Padres offense has been able to ramp it up a bit although they ultimately lost the series against Los Angeles. The Rockies offense, meanwhile, has been stifled so far in California (more on this here) and in the last 3 games against their respective opponents, Colorado has been outscored by San Diego 14-8.
Will this trend continue? Or will the Rockies again be able to make a mockery of San Diego's pitching and defense? The Rockies will get their first opportunity tonight as Jon Garland takes the mound against Tyler Ross.
