The Rockies have a shot at winning their first two series of a season for the first time since 1995, when Colorado started 7-1 and eventually won the NL Wildcard. A really good shot, actually; Tyson Ross was awful last season for the Oakland A's, and he pitched half of his games in one heck of a pitcher's park.

Jon Garland makes his debut for the Rockies. Garland wasn't bad in his last full season in the big leagues, posting a 3.47 ERA for the Padres. However, that was way back in 2010 -- the last time the Rockies were real contenders in the NL West.
