After snapping their 5-game winning streak last night in the series opener, the Colorado Rockies will look to rebound in the second game of the series tonight against the San Francisco Giants at AT&T Park.
The Rockies will turn to Juan Nicasio, who opened his season in fine form against the Milwaukee Brewers last week, on the mound tonight. Nicasio Held Milwaukee to two runs on seven hits in six innings, striking out a pair in a 7-3 Rockies win.
The Giants will counter with Tim Lincecum. The Cy Young winner in 2008 and 2009 struggled last season, compiling a 5.18 ERA in the regular season and relegated to a primarily relief role in the playoffs. However, he threw five shutout innings against the Dodgers in his first start of 2013. He also cut his hair, so he once again looks like Cameron from Ferris Bueller's Day Off.
Of note in the lineups is the abscence of reigning NL MVP Buster Posey, with Hector Sanchez getting the start behind the plate for San Francisco.
