Trevor Story went 2-for-6 with a home run and Ryan Casteel added a pair of hits in the Salt River Rafters' 4-4 tie with the Surprise Saguaros in Arizona Fall League play on Thursday.
Story, the Colorado Rockies' No. 4 prospect according to our PuRP rankings, singled to lead off the sixth before being thrown out while trying to steal second base. A batter later, Casteel (PuRP No. 15) doubled -- his second hit of the game -- with one out on a ball that likely would have plated Story.
Two innings later, Story pulled the Rafters to within two with a solo homer off of Mariners prospect Matt Anderson. Contributions from Rockies farmhands didn't stop there.
Taylor Featherston (PuRP No. 26) hit an RBI triple with nobody out in the ninth inning and scored the tying run two batters later. The game was eventually called after Surprise was unable to score in the bottom of the 11th.
Story now has the highest OPS of any Salt River player with more than 15 at-bats during AFL play and is tied with Twins prospect Eddie Rosario for the team lead in RBI with 12. Here are his statistics, as well as those of the Rockies' six other participants in the league:
