Tuesday Rockpile links, 3/4: Rockies injury updates

Jennifer Stewart-US PRESSWIRE

The Rockies have a few players who are banged up, but nothing looks too serious.

Troy Renck of the Denver Post has injury updates on Jordan Pacheco and Jhoulys Chacin, both of whom we knew about as of yesterday, as well as Justin Morneau and Josh Rutledge, who were new to the list. Three of the four are in the day-to-day category, with Chacin the only one likely to miss extended time, and even that now looks like it's mostly a precautionary measure.

Juan Nicasio is fully healthy and ready to make his mark in the Rockies' rotation, writes MLB.com's Thomas Harding. Nicasio will make his Cactus League debut today against the Giants.

Former Rockies farmhand and noted Bronco-beater Russell Wilson reported to camp for the Rangers on Monday.

Around the league

Blue Jays manager Jon Gibbons used the first replay challenge in MLB history on Monday -- unsuccessfully, though, as a call at first base was not overturned in his team's favor.

Ian Kinsler called Rangers GM Jon Daniels a "sleazeball" and hopes the team goes 0-162.

Astros prospect Jon Singleton spoke vividly about his marijuana addiction.
