Game 4 preview: Morales vs. Turner

Marc Serota

It is getaway day and the Rockies need a win to getaway with a series split.

With a win the Rockies can get back to .500 for the season and leave Miami with a split. This is a good thing, because for the first two game of the series the Rockies looked like they thought they had moved to Spring Training East in Florida with fielding issues, base running issues, some head scratching managerial decisions, and an overall lack of intensity in games that count.

Franklin Morales will be making his official return to the Rockies today. He has fared well in the past against Miami but his last start against them was in 2007. Meanwhile, the Marlins will send Jacob Turner to the mound. In two starts last year against the Rockies, Turner had a sub 4.00 ERA but was 0-2. Hopefully, the Rockies can keep that second trend going.

With Coors Field opening day set for tomorrow, the team could be focused on getting away instead of playing in this early game. It will be a test of Walt Weis to have them focused and let the Marlins be the ones to be caught day dreaming. Here are the lineups:

Colorado:

1. Corey Dickerson (L) CF

2. Michael Cuddyer (R) 1B

3. Carlos Gonzalez (L) LF
