There's nothing like some good late-morning baseball discussion, right? Right. So, with the help of good friend of the site Richard Bergstrom (who runs ESPN Sweet Spot blog Rockies Zingers) and the Rocky Mountain chapter of the Society for American Baseball Research, we'll be bringing said baseball discussion to you next Saturday, June 7, at Breckenridge Brewery (2220 Blake St.) in Denver.
The event is free and open to the public, and with its 10 a.m. MT start time, will be held early enough for everyone to get over to Coors Field to see the Rockies take on the Dodgers at 2:10 p.m.
Kicking off the 10 a.m. portion of the event will be a friendly and knowledgeable group of Rockies bloggers consisting of:
Jeff Aberle, Purple Row
Drew Creasman, Purple Row
Tyler Maun, Purple Dinosaur Podcast/MILB.com
Richard Bergstrom, Rockies Zingers
David Martin, Rockies Review
Michelle Stalnaker, Rox Pile
After the bloggers are finished, some well-respected members of the mainstream media will take the stage:
Matthew Repplinger, MLB Advanced Media/President of SABR's Rocky Mountain chapter
Nick Groke, The Denver Post
Benjamin Hochman, The Denver Post
Jonah Keri, Grantland
If you made it out to the last event, you know it was a blast. If you didn't, now is your chance to come out and talk some baseball with some of the best and brightest the Denver area has to offer.
