AAA - Round Rock Express 10, Colorado Springs Sky Sox 4
Carlos Gonzalez was 1-for-3 with an RBI triple in his final rehab start as the Sky Sox dropped a 10-4 decision in Round Rock. Half of Colorado Springs' run production came via a pair of solo home runs off the bat of catcher Dustin Garneau, giving him three on the season. Chris Capuano gave up three runs on six hits in 3 2/3 innings in his second start for the Sky Sox.
AA - Tulsa Drillers 3, Arkansas Travelers 2
Jon Gray (No. 1 PuRP) got back on track, allowing just an unearned run on two hits in six innings, walking a pair and striking out five in a 3-2 win for Tulsa. He threw 85 pitches, 53 for strikes. The lone run driven in by a hit for the Drillers came from a solo home run from left fielder Brian Humphries, with the other two coming on a sacrifice fly and an error, both off the bat of Taylor Featherston.
High-A - Stockton Ports 7, Modesto Nuts 2
Rosell Herrera (No. 4 PuRP) led off the game with a home run and Chris O'Dowd doubled and scored later in the inning to give the Nuts a 2-0 lead, but that was all the offense Modesto would produce in a 7-2 loss to Stockton. In fact, Nuts starter Devin Burke gave up four runs in the bottom of the first and six runs total in his four innings of work, putting Modesto in a hole it could not climb out of.
A - Asheville Tourists 1, Kannapolis Intimidators 0
Two Asheville pitchers, starter Antonio Senzatela (No. 29 PuRP) and Troy Neiman combined for a one-hitter against Kannapolis, leading the Tourists to a 1-0 win. Senzatela allowed the lone hit in seven innings of work, walking a man and striking out nine. Max White's single drove in Jordan Patterson in the eighth for the only run of the game.
Short-Season A - Spokane Indians 5, Tri-City Dust Devils 2
The Dust Devils scored both of their runs in the second inning thanks to a pair of singles, a pair of errors and a passed ball. That gave Tri-City a 2-1 lead, but Spokane came back with runs in the fourth and fifth innings against Dust Devils reliever Grahamm Wiest. The Indians got two more insurance runs in the seventh and held on for the 5-2 win.
Rookie - Missoula Osprey - 11, Grand Juntion Rockies 5
Six Grand Junction errors led to seven unearned runs and a 11-5 loss to Missoula. The Ospreys scored the first 10 runs of the game, just three of them earned, and led 10-0 in the middle of the fourth. The Rockies got on the board in the bottom of the fourth tanks to Yonathan Daza's first home run of the season, a three-run shot, but were never really able to get back into the game.
DSL - DSL Rockies 4, DSL Giants 1
Juan Pena allowed just one unearned run in his seven innings of work on two hits. He didn't walk anyone and struck out five. The Rockies broke a 1-1 tie in the bottom of the fourth on a two-run single from Miguel Melendez. Joel Diaz's single in the seventh scored Melendez to give the Rockies an insurance run and a 4-1 lead they would not relinquish.
