Let us begin where we so often do, at the Denver Post with the one-and-only Patrick Saunders. In this piece, he sets the stage for the upcoming off season and the litany of decisions that stand before the Colorado Rockies including how to entertain trades for their stars and how to build the starting rotation into something resembling a competent one.
Fellow Denver Poster, Nick Groke, takes a look inside the hitting title race going on between teammates Justin Morneau and Corey Dickerson. My favorite quote from the piece was from Morneau about Dickerson:
"He swings the way I remember myself swinging when I was younger."
Speaking of Corey Dickerson, our good buddy (and fellow member of the Beard Guild) Adam Peterson speculates over at Rockies Zingers on whether or not the young hitting phenom can improve going forward.
If you can't get enough Little League World Series, check out this piece in the Post capping last nights action.
And finally, Thomas Harding has some interesting notes on Brandon Barnes coming off the bench and the recent hitting slump of one DJ LeMahieu who admits that he has been over-adjusting to the point of detriment. Man, hitting is hard.
