Carlos Gonzalez denies report saying he wants Rockies to trade him – The Denver Post
Thanks to Jon Heyman, we got plenty of excitement yesterday regarding Carlos Gonzalez, with Heyman reporting CarGo "would welcome" a trade. Both Gonzalez and Jeff Bridich denied that any meeting had ever taken place. Heyman later clarified, saying there hadn't been a meeting. All in all, a very confusing situation.

More CarGo news, though this is a little less dramatic. Gonzalez is back in the Home Run Derby. He will face former Red and current White Sox Todd Frazier in the first round. Nolan Arenado was asked about participating, but he declined.

Nolan Arenado says he's voted over 100 times for Story in an effort to get a third Rockies player on the team. In last night's game, Story tied the record for rookie home runs before the All-Star break with 21.
