I'm stunned by what we've done. I, like everyone else, pulled the curtains on '07 after the backbreaking first defeat in Philly.

The Rockies, instead of folding as they would have done every other year, have elevated their play as a team to an insane level, led by Holliday, Hawpe, Tulo, Helton, and Atkins on the offensive end and Francis, Corpas, Jimenez, and Morales on the pitching end -- the guys who should be doing the heavy lifting have come through.

I'm so proud of them I'm going to cry. We said we needed a sweep... and we got it.

12 games over .500, 1.5 back, 8 games in a row.

I'm getting the chills.

in shock and awe, we might have actually just clinched the playoff spot. I'm having actual transports. I love them fiercely.

Bradley's meltdown may be the thing that pushes the Pads over the edge. They came into this series holding all the cards -- Peavy starting, riding a win streak, needing to win just one or two to ice us permanently.

And instead, we did them one better. This is how champions play.

I'm gonna treasure the memory of this season for a long, long time.

Story time

I've got two friends from college, three of us are really tight.

My friend Jim, he's a White Sox fan. So when they won in 2005, really happy for him.

My friend Chase, he's a Cardinal fan. So last year I was really happy for him.

Always had this strange feeling that it'd be my turn this year. Shoot, the way we're playing, the division's not out of reach anymore...

their lead over us is no more than 3 heading into the weekend. The Rocks have shown they can destroy teams hearts. Hopefully the Dodger will pack it this week.

I agree

We've stripped away the facades that were Los Angeles and San Diego, and it's been surprising how ugly those teams could get underneath the surface. Well, not surprising, since Milton Bradley and Jeff Kent were kind of known commodities, but the point is that we are fully capable of doing the same thing to Arizona if given the opportunity. I can tell you one thing, there isn't a playoff contender in the NL that wants us in the mix right now.

Never been more proud to be a Rockies fan

What a great time this is. We should all relish this. It has been without a doubt the funnest two weeks of Rockies baseball I can ever remember. I was at the game last week when Helton hit the walk off and I seriously lost my voice I was so excited. Man I hope they can push themselves into the playoffs. I wouldn't put it past them. I'd go to war with this group of players anyday. Bring on the Dodgers and D-backs!!!!!!!!

By the way, how funny was that Milton Bradley episode on a scale of 1-10? I'm giving it a solid 9. I was hysterical when he went down with an injury after Bud Black threw him down. Unbelievable entertainment.
