2011 Rockies Game #161: Alex White vs. Madison Bumgarner
The 2011 season ends tomorrow. The light is near, and Alex White probably wants it to end just as bad as you do.
Despite pitching in less than 50 innings, Colorado's rookie has allowed 14 home runs on the season, beaten on the Rockies roster only by Jason Hammel (21 in 170.1) and Jhoulys Chacin (20 in 194 IP). If there's any place to close out the season on a sweeter note, AT&T Park (HR park factor of 82 for LHB) is a decent enough place. May the force be with you, Alex. He'll be opposed by Madison Bumgarner, who is quietly 4th in MLB in FIP thanks to a K/BB near four.
Game #160: Jhoulys Chacin vs. Ryan Vogelsong
The path to avoiding 90 losses starts here. GO ROCKIES!

Game 159: Kevin Millwood vs. Lucas Harrell
These might be the most crucial games Colorado has played since it fell out of the race. Why? Because their September Tankapalooza has put the Rockies into a 4 way tie at 71-87. What happens in these next four games will determine if the Rockies get anywhere from the 11th pick (worst case) and 4th pick (best case). If Colorado loses all of their remaining games, the likely outcome is the 7th pick. In terms of projected future value, the difference between the 4th and the 11th pick in the MLB draft has historically been pretty big.
So c'mon Jim Tracy, keep doing what you were doing before! Problem is, I think that Kevin Millwood is going to pitch well against a guy making his 5th career start in Lucas Harrell.
vs.
At this point, we can hope for a loss, but given the way 2011 has gone, I doubt we'll get one.
2011 Rockies Game #157: Drew Pomeranz vs Brett Myers
This is going to be an exciting game for one reason and one reason alone: Drew Pomeranz is pitching. Pomeranz has been one of the only bright spots of this abysmal September race to the bottom. One of the few signs of hope. One of the youngest, scaredest looking pitchfaces around.
Brett Myers just keeps getting uglier, too. He used to be a decent looking man, and now he looks like he's going to dance around a pumpkin and sneer because there's no way you're going to guess his name, and he'll be able to take your firstborn child.

Game #156: Alex White vs. Henry Sosa
OVERFLOWS WILL GO HERE. Who am I kidding, there hasn't been need for an overflow in ages.
This is the final Thursday game of the season, and thus, my final game thread of the year. The Rockies can't get back to .500 this year, but I can with a win, which would bring my win/loss record of game threads to 8-8 on the year.
Apparently the game has no temperature. We're playing in a vacuum, people.
Game #155: Anthony Bass vs. Aaron Cook
In what is quite likely Aaron Cook's last start as a Rockie, Colorado attempts to win their final home game of the 2011 season.
Game #154
Same old 2011 Rockies tonight. It's the bottom of the fifth inning, the Rockies are down, 1-0, and have only one hit. Yay!
Game #153: Cory Luebke vs. Kevin Millwood
Can't it just end already?
Oh, and Go Rockies. Lineups after the jump...
