Welcome to Episode 3 of Rowbot Radio!

On this edition, Andrew and I discuss the Non Roster Invitees for 2010, the state of our starting lineup, and more.

Some notes:

- Due to a long running time, I cut out the submitted questions this week. I apologize for that, and we'll make sure to get some in on next week's show.

- I have exported this version at the lowest possible quality where we still sound like regular human beings not in need of an exorcism. As a result, the file size for our longest podcast so far is the smallest, at 17.4 MB. See the attached poll for letting me know which setup you prefer: smaller file or better quality.

- Russ has informed me that it looks like the SBNation interface doesn't allow us to build our own RSS feeds for things like Rowbot Radio. I will therefore look into other options in that regard, but there are no promises there, especially if the services aren't free, or require me to upload the file elsewhere (which seems likely).

Welcome to Episode 2 of Rowbot Radio!

On this edition, Andrew and I discuss the state of the starting rotation going into Spring Training, including the condition of Jeff Francis, our stacked minor league options, and what we expect from our pitchers in 2010.

A couple of production notes:

- I have changed the audio setup to dual channel stereo, as opposed to separate channel stereo. You should hear both of us in one ear phone now. Initial unfamiliarity with editing this process accidentally made me mix the audio a little bit too hot ("too loud"), so there a couple crackles of peaking audio levels that I simply didn't have time to fix tonight. That should sound better next time.

- While I have not yet optimized it, I have gotten the file size to decrease about a third in file size, despite being five minutes longer. This one comes in just South of 23 MB (as opposed to last week's 31+). I will continue to see if I can get it further down. It should be possible, I just have to find out how best to do it without losing quality.

- I have not yet had the opportunity to check up on creating an RSS feed for auto-downloading. For now, you'll have to continue to download manually, but I'll continue to post it early in the morning so it'll be up for you to download before you have to go to work/school/vacation/party/spirit voyage.

Here we are at last: the first edition of Rowbot Radio. On this issue, Andrew and I discuss minor league contracts, potential free agent options, as well as the way the Colorado Rockies bench is shaping up before we get into Spring Training. Keep in mind that this segment was recorded on Saturday, and took place before the Melvin Mora signing was official, as well as before Orlando Cabrera was Cincinnati bound.

For the time being, the podcast will only be available as a direct download from the site manually, until we get a working RSS feed that an MP3 player can sync up to.

I'd like to thank Hollidayrain for the use of his music, oo_nrb for the excellent Rowbot Radio logo, and of course the staff at Purple Row for expanding the blog into the audio sphere.
