Rangers' Hamilton leaves game

Anaheim, CA (Sports Network) - Texas Rangers outfielder Josh Hamilton left Saturday's game against the Los Angeles Angels with pain associated with root canal work he had done earlier this week. Hamilton was scratched from the Rangers' game on Wednesday with an abscessed tooth, but returned to the lineup. However, the pain forced him out of Saturday's game, and Brandon Boggs pinch-hit for Hamilton in the fifth inning, then stayed in the game in left field. Marlon Byrd moved from left to center field. Hamilton is hitting .295 this year with 29 homers and a major league-leading 116 RBI.
