ChiSox activate Linebrink from DL

Cleveland, OH (Sports Network) - The Chicago White Sox activated reliever Scott Linebrink off the 15-day disabled list Monday, among several roster moves the team made. The 32-year-old Linebrink had been on the DL since July 26 with right shoulder inflmmation. He is 2-2 with a save and 2.31 earned run average in 42 games this season, his first with the White Sox. Also on Monday, the team recalled outfielder Jerry Owens and pitchers Mike MacDougal and Ehren Wasserman from Triple-A Charlotte, transferred pitcher Jose Contreras to the 60-day DL and purchased the contract of catcher Paul Phillips from Charlotte.
