Brewers exercise option on Cameron

Milwaukee, WI (Sports Network) - The Milwaukee Brewers announced Monday that they have exercised the 2009 option on the contract of outfielder Mike Cameron.
Cameron, who was signed as a free agent prior to last season from San Diego, hit .243 with 25 homers and 70 RBI in 120 games for the NL wild card winners. He added 25 doubles and swiped 17 bases.
A three-time Gold Glove winner and 14-year major league veteran, Cameron is a career .250 hitter with 241 homers, 856 RBI and 289 stolen bases over 1,680 games with the Chicago White Sox, Cincinnati Reds, Seattle Mariners, New York Mets, Padres and Brewers.
