Detroit, MI (Sports Network) - Jacksonville Jaguars linebacker Mike Peterson was inactive for Sunday's game against the Detroit Lions.
Peterson returned to the team on Friday after being sent home earlier in the week by head coach Jack Del Rio, who made the decision Sunday to keep the defensive captain off the field.
Peterson and Del Rio met Friday morning, but neither would divulge the details of their conversation.
"It's private," said Peterson on Friday. "I'd like to keep it behind closed doors."
Said Del Rio, "We put an end to this. We had a nice, private discussion and we'll move on from here."
Earlier this week it was reported that Del Rio was upset with Peterson after he celebrated a sack in the third quarter of this past Sunday's game against Cincinnati with the Jags trailing 21-3.
The Jaguars went on to lose 21-19, giving the Bengals their first win of the season.
Peterson, 32, has registered 49 tackles in nine games this season.
