Cadillac back in the Bucs' stable

Tampa, FL (Sports Network) - The Tampa Bay Buccaneers have activated running back Carnell "Cadillac" Williams off the physically unable to perform list and could have the former first-round draft pick available for Sunday's game against Minnesota.
Williams has not played an NFL game since September 30, 2007 when he suffered a torn patellar tendon in a contest against Carolina. He returned to practice late last month after an arduous recovery and rehab.
The Bucs are off to a 6-3 start this season with Earnest Graham and Warrick Dunn doing most of the running. Graham leads the team with 560 yards and four touchdowns, while Dunn has chipped in 423 yards and one score. Both are averaging more than four yards per carry.
A healthy Williams would make the backfield that much stronger.
Selected with the fifth overall pick of the 2005 NFL Draft, Williams has rushed for 2,184 yards and 10 touchdowns in 32 games. The Auburn product ran for 1,178 yards as a rookie in 2005.
The Bucs released running back Michael Bennett to free up a spot on the active roster. Bennett, acquired from Kansas City in a trade last October after Williams was hurt, ran for 201 yards in 13 games and this season had just 12 yards on seven carries.
Tampa Bay also made a few other roster moves, promoting wide receiver Brian Clark from the practice squad to take the place of Maurice Stovall, who was placed on injured reserve with a hamstring problem.
Clark played in three games for the Bucs earlier this season and has one catch for 12 yards. Stovall notched three receptions for 25 yards and was tied for fourth with seven special teams tackles.
The Buccaneers also signed linebacker Marc Magro to the practice squad. Magro has spent time on the practice squads with Miami and St. Louis this season.
