I might just fall asleep during the game and you guys might go over the comment limit if this game goes more than a couple of extra innings.

Wow
I think I have smoked a half pack of cigarettes in the last 15 minutes.  What sucks is i gotta be up at 6:30 and this has all the makings of a 14 or 15 inning marathon game.

Nice job, but man. Couldn't you have done that last inning? Seriously.

tulo time
It's time for Tulowitzki to make his offensive mark on this series.  Hell, Tulo & Hawpe, back-to-back.

Yeah Tulo needs to wake up his bat...
For all the times he was clutch during the regular season he need to come up big in the post season.

Tulo is still pressing
He wants to be the hero too much. He needs to stay calm and take some pitches and think base hit, not game-winning homer.

It has been easy to forget this season....
but tulo is still a rookie. He seems to be showing it a little this post season.

I'm tired
of Hurdle constantly pulling Atkins too early for a defensive replacement. He isn't THAT much of a screaming liability, and we could use his bat in these kinds of games.

I love you, Ryan Speier. You have some gonads, my young friend. Congrats on your first big league save.

And to Jose Valverde... normally, I love your antics. But tonight, I say to you - suck it. Suck it long, and suck it hard. Pump your fist after that BSL, jackass.

You have to wonder why
Melvin would leave Valverde in there for so long.  Jeff and Jack said that he hadn't worked a 2nd inning all year.  He went above 40 pitches tonight.  Well I am glad he did. Now I need to get some rest.  I can't even type coherent sentences anymore.

Valverde had worked past one inning something like six times this season.  But he did pitch past his previous high on the season.

A final note
does anybody else here seem to think it's ironic that we're beating the D'Backs at their own game?

Incredible "luck", clutch moments born of young player mistakes, and then finding any way possible to win the game, no matter how unlikely.

That sounds a LOT like how Arizona strode into the playoffs with 90 wins and the clearly overrated run differential.

Rox haven't hit the ball hard yet, really
I think they'll be VERY happy to be home.  Hopefully Josh can shut 'em down tomorrow (aka Sunday).

Nobody had two hits today.  The superstar was 0-5 with 3Ks.  Carroll, Tavares (does speed kill or WHAT), and Hawpe did it offensively.  Tavares, Atkins, Tulo defensively.  And sensational pitching in the 10th and 11th innings.

And oh yeah, thanks for overrunning that base twice in two days, D-backs.
