The Rockies' winning streak roughly coincided with my decision to put purple sheets on my bed.  I am never changing my bedsheets again.

from the stage that deserve equal billing:  Bill Geivett, Bill Schmidt, Rolando Fernandez.

Sure, there are several guys that are outstanding in this organization, but these three stand out the most.  Geivett and Schmidt completely turned around this farm system and Schmidt's ability to find talent in the middle rounds directly lead to this Championship caliber roster.

Fernandez, in my opinion, is the best in the business when it comes to winning in Latin America.  Just in tonight's game, we wouldn't have won without a 21 year old throwing four solid innings, and a fearless closer cleaning up an eighth inning mess and slamming the door in the ninth.  Fernandez is due a big raise this year, he's simply invaluable.

Also, props to Marc Gustafson as well, his hand in player development will help give us moments like this for some time over the next several seasons.

From a yankees fan...go Rockies.  I'm surprised to say that I'm rooting against both AL teams at this point.

He had to listen to Craig Sager for like a full minute before an actual question came out. All that with champagne in his eyes.

Okay, Rockies, I promised I'd hate you during the NLCS but cheer for you if you won.  So, I'm all on your side for the Series.  PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE beat the AL.  I hope I'll be welcome to post here during the Series.

Normally just a lurker here, but I have to chime in with my cheers of happiness. Fantastic run for a great team.

I might end up with two horses in the World Series... a prospect I never really thought would realistically happen. This should be interesting.

The ROCKIES?! In the WORLD SERIES?!

All those years and thousands of hours of bad baseball? All the energy I poured into this team -- as I moved from one coast of the country to the other -- and the grief I suffered?

It was all worth it.

my faded Rockies license plate frame (which has adorned my car since 1996) will soon be joined by 2007 NL Champion / 2007 World Champion bumper stickers. Way cool.  

the postgame locker room/interview coverage was epic.  as mentioned by someone above, sager gave hawpe a seven or eight part question.  brad answered about 1/2 of one question.  francis was trying to talk to sager, but affeldt and fuentes stopped that from happening (is it a lefty thing?).  todd was so stunned during his on field interview he barely bothered to answer any of the questions, and also had several extended stretches of silence.  and several players were doing the "soulja boy" dance in the background at some point.  after such a stressful and amazing month, it's awesome to see the team just have some fun.  their business is far from finished, but they've definitely earned a night of goofing off.

I'm a D-backs fan, but I've come to congratulate the Rockies.  Good luck in the world series.  Make the NL West Proud!
