Brewers 4, Angels 4

RECAP I think Dave Bush is ready for the season to begin. Bush retired 15 of the first 16 Dodgers Angels batters, ultimately allowing only 2 runs on 1 hit in 6 innings of work, as the Brewers matched the Dodgers Angels in a 4-4 tie. The impressive performance actually raised Bush's spring ERA to 2.70. At the plate, the Brewers pounded out 6 doubles, including 2 by Brad Nelson (spring BA: .385), and a triple by crafty catcher Carlos Corporan. The only other hit was a single by Mike Lamb. David Riske gave up an opposite-field home run to Kendry Morales in the 7th, and Rule 5 loaner Wes Littleton allowed a run on two walks and three hits over two innings. SPRING STATS For the good, Hart is hitting a ridiculous .452 this spring, eye-juicing Bill Hall is hitting .313, and despite going 0-3, Casey McGehee is hitting .381. On the endangered species list, Trot Nixon's 0-1 dropped his BA to .111, TG Jr.'s 0-3 means he's hitting .154, and Vinny Rottino is limping along at .125. Jorge Julio's scoreless inning dropped his ERA to 5.63, while Riske's and Littleton's are still over 10. The Brewers remain in 4th place in the Cactus League standings at 11-8, one game up on the Cubs. SUNDAY'S GAME Mark DiFelice makes his first start of the spring on Sunday against Rumorville resident Jonathan Sanchez and the San Francisco Giants. Villanueva, Coffey, and Narron are also expected to pitch in the game. Plenty of seats are available, so why not take the kids to the ballpark and make a day of it? Game time is 3:05 Central; racing tumbleweeds appear in the 6th inning.
