The Rockies try to salvage a win at Chavez Ravine after losing the last two. If somehow we can find a way to play the four innings before and the four innings after the fifth without having to have it count, maybe we'd be onto something. The last two games we've outscored the Dodgers 5-3 in the other fifteen, but have been outscored 9-0 in that frame. Yuck.
Actually, this points out our continued vulnerability to the big inning which again goes back to the fact that we give more free passes than Hilary to Bill. Err, low blow there, sorry.
Shawn Chacon goes up against Derek Lowe, both pitchers have had good years thus far, each quieting a lot of offseason naysayers. Chac' needs to go deeper into ballgames, like all our pitchers I want to see him stay in the zone a bit more.
