Will MLB ever let Vegas show it the money?
Tonight's game marks another meeting between clubs of the last two MLB expansions. The next expansion probably won't take place for at least a decade, but I find discussions of the future moves of the sport fascinating. This year we saw the Expos move to Washington, next time we may see Oakland move to wherever they can. Portland and Las Vegas don't have teams and probably can support them. New Jersey is sometimes mentioned as a possibility and there have been rumors that baseball may consider Monterrey in Mexico as an international target as well. This afternoon some of the questions that may be covered are: What city currently without a major league team will be the next to get one? Will it be by expansion or move? What team(s) are in danger of moving and when and where will the next MLB expansion take place? Anyway, the thread is now open
