So... the Marlins... Pregame Discussion Thread

Sometimes I really get discouraged when our expansion franchise meets these established clubs like the Yankees and the Marlins and the Diamondbacks that have all won world titles while we're just starting to build. Er, or something like that. Oh well, the past is the past let's move on.

So today we face off against the Marlins' Dontrelle Willis, one cog in an excellent rotation on a powerhouse team, in a vastly different world than our own.

In the pregame discussion I want to break down the Marlins' roster and ultimately compare it to our own, but I want to see how they went about building the team that they have and what we can learn from this. If you want you could read and respond to this or you could read the shorter RMN article which does a lot of whining, a lot of drooling, but doesn't really say much of anything in the end.

So we'll start with Willis, whom the Marlins acquired with fellow minor leaguers Ryan Jorgensen and Jose Cueto as well as Julian Tavarez for Matt Clement and Antonio Alfonseca.
