Views from the Top Row - Franchise bringing heat on coaches?

Scroll down on Thomas Harding's notes column at the official Rockies' site and you get the interesting tidbit about Dan O' Dowd's frustrations with Jeff Francis' recent struggles.

"Jeff needs to step up and pitch better than this, because he is better than this," O' Dowd said. "There's no reason his delivery is as bad as what it is right now. There's no reason his command is as bad as it is right now. He should be better than this."

The GM's frustrations are as apparent as ours in that statement but it looks to me that he's not putting all the blame on Francis for his struggles and you and I both know that Francis isn't going anywhere. Apodaca and Hurdle have to be feeling the pressure to have him improve a little more now.
