Everything about this series seems to point to an impending Rockies train wreck, so maybe this would be another good time to take a contrarian position and say that the Rockies come away with a series win. Francis wins tonight, Kennedy tomorrow, and Wright on Saturday, but then Jennings throws a cupcake that Albert Puols crushes into Illinois and we barely miss on the sweep. See how easy it was to put that on paper? Franchise hasn't faced any of the Cards hitters before, so this should be an interesting test to see what advance scouts are telling batters to do against him. Anyway, Rox win behind Francis' mastery of the zone and the big bat of Jorge Piedra tonight (he's got a double and homerun in three AB's versus Suppan) so there's a start at least.
