Right around the middle of June, what had been a pretty decent season for Victor Santos turned South. Early in the year, Victor didn't win much because he was perhaps the unluckiest pitcher on the face of the planet as far as run support goes. Lately, however, he hasn't won much because he still gets no run support and he's started to allow the opposition to provide more hits and runs of their own. His K rate has dropped as the hits have risen, resulting in a fairly mediocre pitcher.
Unfortunately Francis hasn't been much better lately, or perhaps even quite a bit worse over his last three starts, so who knows how this one will turn out. Go Rockies!
