Tracy Ringolsby informs us that Field and Venafro opted for free agency.
They were only the first roster moves:
The Rockies are going to have to create as many as six more spots on the 40-player roster to accommodate prospects they need to protect.
The 40-man roster currently stands at 36, and there are three players (DeJean, Torrealba, Tsao) on the 40-man roster currently on the 60-day DL. All that means is that they don't count towards 40 but are still on it.
So let's figure out/guess who will be placed on the 40-man roster this off-season for the first time.
