Baseball America rates Troy Tulowitzki the premier prospect (subscription required) in this season's AFL class. Joe Koshansky comes thirteenth in the balloting. I've been wondering the last couple of nights how close Tulo is ready to being able to take the second spot in the lineup, as that would solve a lot of our current mess and we wouldn't have to worry about getting an upgrade over Cory Sullivan as much.
As for Koshansky, BA says that much of the reason he struggled in the first part of the AFL season was a "tweaked back" which makes sense as he obviously snapped out of the slump late in the campaign. Anyway, my "reason for optimism" yesterday is still bringing me some smiles today.
